Raising Cane's Calories: Official Numbers for Chicken Fingers, Every Combo, and the Combo Math
A Raising Cane's chicken finger is 130 calories and a Box Combo is 1,270 before the drink. Official numbers for every combo, side, sauce, and drink.
A Raising Cane's chicken finger is 130 calories with 12g of protein, and the Box Combo is 1,270 calories before you add a drink. A Cane's meal runs from about 480 (three fingers, coleslaw, unsweet tea) to about 2,230 (a Caniac Combo with a large lemonade). Every number below comes from Raising Cane's official US Allergen & Nutritional Information PDF, August 2026 edition.
Official menu data
Cane's has one of the smallest menus in fast food, so the whole thing fits in three tables.
Individual items:
| Item | Serving | Calories | Protein | Fiber |

Drinks by size (kids 12 oz / regular 22 oz / large 32 oz):

|---|---|---|---|
| Unsweet Tea | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| Half Sweet / Half Unsweet | 60 | 120 | 170 |

The gallon jugs are 1,700 calories for lemonade and 1,360 for sweet tea. Protein is 0g for every drink except the 1% milk box (110 calories, 8g).
Cane's menu page shows a few slightly different round numbers (fries at 400, the Box Combo starting at 1,290). We use the August 2026 PDF everywhere, because it is the detailed, dated nutrition document.
The combo math: why the parts don't add up
This is the most interesting thing on the Cane's PDF. If you add up the individual items in each combo, you get a different number than the official combo total:
| Combo | Sum of the parts | Official combo total | Gap |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 Finger Combo | 390 + 420 + 190 + 150 = 1,150 | 1,050 | 100 less |
| Box Combo | 520 + 420 + 190 + 150 + 90 = 1,370 | 1,270 | 100 less |
| Sandwich Combo | 810 + 420 = 1,230 | 1,130 | 100 less |
| Caniac Combo | 780 + 420 + 380 + 150 + 90 = 1,820 | 1,810 | 10 less |
Three of the four adult combos come in exactly 100 calories under their parts. Protein goes the other way: the Box Combo's parts add up to 58g but the official combo says 60g, and the Caniac's parts give 82g against an official 87g.
The Kids Combo shows it most clearly. Two fingers and one sauce are already 450 calories, and the whole combo is 640, which leaves room for a much smaller fries portion than the 420-calorie serving sold on its own.
Cane's does not explain the gaps. The PDF simply lists each combo as its own line, measured as a whole. The practical rule:
- Ordered as listed? Use the official combo number. A Box Combo is 1,270, not 1,370.
- Customized? Build it from the parts. Once you drop the toast or add a finger, the combo line no longer describes your meal, and the item values are the best official numbers available.
Either way, the difference is 100 calories at most, which is small next to the drink choice, which swings a combo by up to 420.
How to build a low-calorie order
Ranked by impact, from the official numbers:
- Skip the fries: saves 420 per serving. Fries are a third of a Box Combo by calories and bring only 5g of protein.
- Unsweet tea or a diet soda instead of a large lemonade: saves 420. A regular lemonade is 290, regular sweet tea 230.
- One sauce instead of two on the Caniac: saves 190. Each 1.5 oz Cane's Sauce is 190 calories and 18g of fat, with no protein.
- 3 Finger Combo instead of the Box: saves 220 (1,050 vs 1,270). You give up one finger and the coleslaw.
- Skip the Texas toast: saves 150.
- Half-and-half tea instead of sweet tea: saves 110 on a regular (120 vs 230), if unsweet is too plain.
Five orders under 700 calories
- The lean plate: 3 chicken fingers + coleslaw + unsweet tea. 390 + 90 + 0 = 480 calories, 37g protein
- Fingers and sauce: 3 chicken fingers + 1 Cane's Sauce. 390 + 190 = 580 calories, 36g protein, for when the sauce is the point
- The four-finger plate: 4 chicken fingers + coleslaw. 520 + 90 = 610 calories, 49g protein, the best protein under 700
- The toast plate: 3 chicken fingers + Texas toast + coleslaw. 390 + 150 + 90 = 630 calories, 41g protein
- The Kids Combo: Kids Combo + kids unsweet tea. 640 + 0 = 640 calories, 28g protein, the only full combo under 700
Five highest-protein orders
- Caniac Combo: 1,810 calories, 87g protein (before the drink)
- 6 chicken fingers + coleslaw: 780 + 90 = 870 calories, 73g protein, most of the Caniac's protein for under half its calories
- 5 chicken fingers + coleslaw: 650 + 90 = 740 calories, 61g protein
- Box Combo: 1,270 calories, 60g protein
- 4 chicken fingers + coleslaw: 520 + 90 = 610 calories, 49g protein
The fingers themselves are 12g of protein per 130 calories. The sides and sauce add calories with almost no protein, which is why a plate of fingers and coleslaw beats any combo on protein per calorie. For how that ratio compares across chains, see the fast food protein index.
Real-world orders, broken down
The lean order: "three chicken fingers, coleslaw, unsweet tea"
| Component | Calories |
|---|---|
| 3 Chicken Fingers | 390 |
| Coleslaw | 90 |
| Unsweet Tea, regular | 0 |
| Total | 480 |
37g protein. Add one Cane's Sauce and it is 670, still under 700.
The standard order: "box combo with a sweet tea"
| Component | Calories |
|---|---|
| Box Combo (official total) | 1,270 |
| Sweet Tea, regular | 230 |
| Total | 1,500 |
60g protein. This is the order most people mean by "Cane's," and the drink alone is 230 of it.
The indulgent order: "caniac combo with a large lemonade"
| Component | Calories |
|---|---|
| Caniac Combo (official total) | 1,810 |
| Lemonade, large | 420 |
| Total | 2,230 |
87g protein, and more than a full day of calories for many people in one meal. Switching to large unsweet tea brings it back to 1,810.
How to log Raising Cane's in Nouri
Cane's is easy to describe and easy to get wrong. The menu is so small that everyone knows their order by heart, but the details are where the calories hide: was it two sauces or one, sweet tea or unsweet, did you eat the toast? A restaurant order is easier to log by saying what you ordered than by any other method. You already know the order; a camera only sees a box.
So type it like a note: "cane's box combo, extra sauce, large sweet tea." Nouri returns calories and macros right away, item by item, with its reasoning visible, so you can check that it counted the second sauce and the large drink. If you customized, say so ("3 finger combo, no toast") and add context like "ate half the fries" to recalculate. Nouri is iPhone (iOS only), and you can try it free.
At the drive-thru, Siri works with the phone locked: "Hey Siri, track food in Nouri," then the order in one sentence, and the card shows calories, macros, and what is left for the day. A photo of the box works too: Nouri writes out what it sees as a sentence first, so you can correct "regular lemonade" to "large" before anything counts.
Then on Sunday evening, your Nouri Report puts the week in context: average calories and protein against your targets, days on target for your goal, and one clear focus for the week ahead.
